Who we are

Solva Labs LLC is a Minnesota limited liability company. We publish Wake Boom on the Apple App Store and operate this website. You can reach us anytime at hi@solvalabs.studio.

The short version

• Wake Boom runs on your device — your alarms, challenges, and settings stay on it and are never sent to us.
• One optional feature, the photo dismiss mission, can send a single reduced-resolution photo for a pass/fail check — but only if you opt in. It's discarded right after, never stored, and tied to no account.
• We don't sell your data and use no advertising trackers.
• Email hi@solvalabs.studio anytime to access or delete data we hold.

What the Wake Boom app collects

Wake Boom runs on your device and includes no third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or trackers. Your alarms, challenges, and preferences stay on your device. The one exception is the optional photo mission below: only with your consent, it sends a single photo off your device for a pass/fail check, then discards it.

Alarms and settings

Your alarms, challenges, and preferences are stored locally on your device by iOS. They're removed when you delete the app.

Camera and photo missions

Some alarm missions ask you to take a photo to dismiss the alarm. If you opt in, a reduced-resolution copy of that photo — with location and other EXIF metadata removed on your device first — is sent to our processing partner, kie.ai, which uses Google Gemini to judge whether the photo meets the task (for example, a made bed). The photo is used only to return a pass/fail result and is not stored by us or our partner after processing. Photos are never saved to your camera roll, sold, or used for advertising or tracking. You can decline at any time — the alarm falls back to a math problem instead.

Notifications

Alarms are scheduled as local notifications by iOS. No notification content is sent to our servers.

Purchases

Wake Boom offers an optional subscription, Wake Boom Premium. Purchases are processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment details. We use RevenueCat, Inc. to manage subscription status and verify purchases. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and a device identifier to provide this service; it does not receive your payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Diagnostics and crash reports

Apple may share anonymized, aggregate diagnostic and crash data with us if — and only if — you opt in via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. You can disable sharing at any time from the same settings panel.

What this website collects

This website has no sign-up or waitlist form and sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our hosting provider generates standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, pages visited) for security and abuse prevention; these are retained for no more than 30 days and are not used to build a profile of you. If you email us, we keep your message so we can reply.

How we use this information

We use what little we collect only to keep the service running, protect it from abuse, and answer your emails. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data for marketing purposes.

Third parties

We rely on a small number of service providers to run Wake Boom and this website: website hosting, transactional email, subscription management (RevenueCat), and — for the optional photo mission only — our image-processing partner kie.ai (which uses Google Gemini). These providers are contractually required to protect your data to a standard equal to this policy and to use it only to deliver the service we've engaged them for.

Children

Wake Boom and this website are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, email hi@solvalabs.studio and we'll delete it.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. Email hi@solvalabs.studio and we'll respond within 30 days. The Wake Boom app keeps no account or profile — alarm data stays on your device and the optional photo mission discards images after each check — so app-related requests are mostly limited to confirming this.

Data retention

Server logs roll off after 30 days. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to help you.

Security

Data in transit between your device and our servers is protected with TLS. Access to stored data is restricted to people who need it to operate the service. If we ever become aware of a breach that affects your personal data, we'll notify you without undue delay.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For material changes we'll also notify you through the site or by email where appropriate.
